eBay's UK Help page titled "Dropshipping" (id=4176) says three things that matter for sourcing:
- Dropshipping where you fulfil orders directly from a wholesale supplier is allowed.
- Listing an item and then purchasing it from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed.
- You stay responsible for safe delivery within the time frame in your listing and for the buyer's overall satisfaction. How should you judge supplier reliability?
Policy fit is only half the job. Sellers on forums repeatedly hit the same operational gaps: late dispatch, weak tracking, quality drift and no backup when a SKU dies. Use this checklist before you scale a source:
- Dispatch record — Place test orders. Compare promised handling time with what actually left the warehouse in a bad week, not a best week. See handling time.

Is Alibaba-only dropshipping enough?
Some sellers ask whether sourcing only from Alibaba is safer. eBay's Help page neither praises nor bans Alibaba. What matters is whether fulfilment is from a wholesale supplier you can hold to a delivery promise, and whether you can meet listing accuracy and returns duties. Alibaba-only still needs QC samples, clear MOQ or dropship terms, and a backup if a factory goes quiet. Volume quotes are not the same as retail-ready dropship lanes.
What about Amazon or Walmart as the ship-from source?
If you list on eBay and then buy on Amazon or Walmart so that retailer ships to your eBay buyer, that matches eBay's description of purchasing from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer which the Help page says is not allowed. Is CJ Dropshipping allowed on eBay?

Can I dropship Alibaba products on eBay UK?
